Yiga Choeling Monastery, famously known as Ghoom Monastery is one of the must visiting places of Darjeeling tour. Built in 1850 by Lama Sherpa Gyaltsho, this monastery is famous for its well-crafted Thangka on the walls, fancy bells, and drums. The Maitreya Buddha Statue is one of the oldest & biggest Buddha statues in Darjeeling, was made of clay brought from Tibet.

Batasia Loop is the nearest tourist spot from our homestay. This is a charismatic spiral trail of train lines with a magnificent panoramic view of the mighty Khachendzunga Range. The purpose of creating this loop was to minimize the elevation of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. Lush green surroundings and a thrilling panoramic view made Batasia Loop a magnet spot for travelers. One of its most enchanting aspects is the hilltop tunnel. Endearing flowers line the way, creating such a wonderfully romantic ambiance in front of the visitors. Visitors can embellish themselves in local traditional attires at this attractive place.

Located in Dali which is about 5km away from Darjeeling, although this monastery is popularly known as the Dali Monastery, it's actual name is Druk Sangag Choling Monastery. The monastery was originally built at the time of Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche in 1971. He was a well known religious Tibetan teacher. Dali Monastery belongs to the Kagyupa sect. As you enter through the arch gate and walk up along the ramp, you will be awestruck with the structure of the buildings. Soon you will need to climb flights of many steep stairs.
